Cambridge Botanic Gardens

If you pick the right day and time of year, these gardens really are a lovely place to visit. Suggest you go early to get a parking place though.

Houghton Mill

Set on the Great Ouse you find the last working mill on this river. Check out your map and consider walking from St Ives for a longer outing.

Wimpole Hall

The largest country house in Cambridgeshire, originally built in 1643 and altered by just about every one of its owners. Evidence of the great architects Flitcroft, Soane, Kendall and O’Rilley can easily be seen. The working farm is also well worth a visit.
